MISSION STATEMENT OF THE WOODWARD PUBLIC LIBRARY
The mission of the Woodward Public Library is to serve all persons without regard to age, race, gender, creed, or color and are committed to inclusive practices and policies. Also, to ensure to all of the people the freedom to read and to freely choose from all sources of information and knowledge and to strive to maintain the republic principles of our American heritage.
The library shall be both a center for leisure materials as well as an information and reference center for the personal and public growth of individuals and the community. By retaining materials of local interest the library will preserve for the future generations the history of Woodward.
The library shall provide services now available to citizens for the community and not duplicate areas of service now existing.
The library shall cooperate with other organizations to promote the City of Woodward and to make the library a more positive community influence.
